Academy Award–winning director Chloé Zhao finds herself back in the awards race thanks to Hamnet, an exquisite historical drama that offers up a different look at the life of William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal). Instead, it's on his wife Agnes (a stellar Jessie Buckley), whose connection to nature and strange visions defy convention.
